Wrigley Field

The famous Wrigley Field scoreboard. Everything is done by hand.
A little pregame entertainment. Notice the dancing Hot Dog!

Where are my seats?

Chicago style hot dogs!

It's always good to know the right people! I've never been to Wrigley Field and thought it would be cool to catch a Cubs game while in Chicago. The problem is, the games are always sold out. Win or loose the Cubs fans are very loyal. The tickets are even harder to come by this year, because the Cubs have the best record in baseball. I happen to know someone who is friends with a player on the Cubs. He knew I was in town and set me up with a free ticket.

What an experience! The fans in Chicago are amazing. The ballpark is old, but you feel like you are part of history being in and around the place. The place feels more like it was built for the fans versus the corporate feel of many stadiums around the country.

A former Cubs usher sat next to me. I had seats about 40 rows behind home plate. She's a long time Cubs fan, so she gave me a lot of history behind the park, the team and the players. The Cubs were playing the Phillies and came back to win 3-2. It was a great day to see a game and experience some American history.
